Hyatt Place Tampa Airport/Westshore

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this stay. A few colleagues and I were originally booked at another hotel (we had room blocks at both properties for an event), but that hotel had major issues. We suddenly found ourselves needing to secure new accommodations, and the Hyatt staff stepped in immediately. They booked us same-day rooms without hesitation and went above and beyond to make things right—despite the issue not being caused by a Hyatt property. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the service throughout our stay was exceptional. A special shout out to Jim and Christina, who were a joy to work with and truly went above and beyond. I will not hesitate to stay here again on future trips, and this will be our company’s first choice moving forward.

Check in was easy. Quiet surroundings. Breakfast was good. Came in the night before our cruise and the port was very close. Airport is very close as well. A win for us. Would absolutely stay again.

Booked 6 rooms for a rugby tournament. Rooms were very nice, comfortable, and clean. Breakfast hot bar was great. Needed an early check-in for some gentlemen flying in early. The assistant general manager Laquandra was amazing! She was extremely helpful and all of the front desk personnel were just wonderful. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and close to many attractions like shopping malls, restaurants, parks, and beaches. I stayed here for a week. The breakfast is simple, mostly pre-packaged or basic options like jams, butters, waffles, toast, chopped fruits, hard-boiled and scrambled eggs. There aren’t many vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free choices, which could be improved. The rooms are spacious and accessible, equipped with a mini fridge, coffee maker, and a small supply of coffee and tea (you’ll need to get your own refills though ). Service was average — when I requested room cleaning, they only replaced the towels but didn’t sweep or properly clean the room. The air conditioning was also quite noisy at night, which made it hard to sleep. Wifi was good but didn’t work well where my bed was located. Tv is a bit of challenge to set up. Unfortunately, after the second night, I noticed some rashes and bites on my skin — hopefully, it wasn’t bed bugs, but it did make me a bit concerned.

Stayed one night for a concert and the location was very convenient. Check-in was easy and the room was comfortable overall and the parking is free. The only issue was that the floor didn’t appear to be swept.

Great hotel. Great value. Convenient location. This hotel has recently been renovated and everything looks fresh and clean. Would highly recommend.

I LOVE this small hotel! I travel to Tampa several times a year and usually stay at the Grand Hyatt. Since it was fully booked, my company placed us at Hyatt Place about three miles away and I’m so glad they did! This was my first time staying at a Hyatt Place, and I will definitely be back. The room design is incredibly functional. The office and kitchenette area are perfect for getting work done and grabbing a quick snack. I also loved the closet tucked around the corner and the layout of the bathroom. The living area is the ideal size, with great open space in the center of the room. The staff were extremely friendly, and the small lounge was perfect for a quick bite or a drink. I learned from the team that this hotel is the same age as the Grand Hyatt, which is surprising Hyatt Place feels much fresher. Honestly, I think the Grand Hyatt could take a few notes from its sister property. There is an amazing, HUGE mall two blocks away. Overall, a wonderful stay. I’ll absolutely be returning!
